Why We Love It
A combination of sun safety and rapid cooling to combat the effects of the Australian sun when you need it the most. As skin moisture evaporates, it absorbs heat, reducing body temperature. Omius technology enhances this cooling by absorbing water into porous graphite, providing a larger evaporation surface. Utilising thermally conductive graphite with a hydrophilic coating, the cooling pieces efficiently absorb and evaporate water for enhanced cooling. The visor incorporates the familiar design of the unique silicone grid to hold the cooling pieces, thus achieving cooling through direct skin contact with the graphite. While thermal receptors adapt to the temperature shift after around 5 minutes, the persistent cooling effect remains active by briefly exposing unadapted skin through cap re-adjustment.
