Why We Love It

Holding a strong body position in open water gets harder as fatigue builds. The Orca Apex Float V2 Women’s Wetsuit is designed to give you extra lift and support exactly where you need it, helping you stay streamlined and efficient deep into long-course racing. The added buoyancy through the legs helps reduce drag and conserve energy, while the updated shoulder construction keeps your stroke feeling smooth and unrestricted. It’s a confidence-boosting choice for triathletes wanting more support without sacrificing comfort or swim feel.

Talk Nerdy To Me

The Apex Float V2 Women combines premium Yamamoto neoprene with buoyancy-focused technologies to improve swim posture and hydrodynamics. High-buoyancy panels help elevate the legs and lower body, supporting a more horizontal position in the water to reduce drag and improve efficiency during triathlon swimming.

Yamamoto 40 neoprene in the shoulders and High Elbow Panel technology in the arms increase flexibility and range of motion through every stroke. Updated shoulder patterning reduces upper-body tension, while the removal of upper back graphics further improves elasticity. With 3mm neoprene through the chest and back and 5mm thickness in the legs, the suit also delivers excellent thermal protection in cooler open water conditions. Hydrophobic materials help speed up wetsuit removal during transition.

CHEST

1. For best results, take your measurements with no clothing on.

2. Place the measuring tape over the widest part of your chest.

3. Hold one end of the measuring tape in place and circle your chest, keeping the tape straight, until the tape reaches your starting point.

HEIGHT

1. Get a book, a hand mirror and a pencil.

2. Take off your shoes and anything you wear on your head.

3. Look for a level surface to stand on with a smooth wall behind you.

4. Stand in front of the wall with your feet together.

5. Balance the book on your head and press it against the wall. Use the mirror to check that it is in a horizontal position and well centered. Mark the position of the top of your head on the wall with pencil.

6. Once the mark is made, step away and use a measuring tape to measure the distance from the ground to the mark you just made with pencil.

WEIGHT

1. Step on the scale, without clothes or accessories, and write down your weight.

Flexibility

The Apex Float uses the most advanced Orca technologies to achieve maximum elasticity in the shoulders, arms and back.

39FS

Elasticity, maximum flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 39 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination, the open water swimmer will use 35% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower, wider movements will require 45% less force than with any other conventional wetsuit.

40+

Yamamoto 40 neoprene is combined with the high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining and SCS surface coating. The smooth finish acheived with the SCS coating reduces resistance and friction in the water, improving hydrodynamics and increasing speed.

VFIT

Orca women's wetsuits have patterns specifically designed for the female body, which improve both their performance and comfort. A better fit allows the materials to work within their optimal elasticity ranges.

Buoyancy

Specific technologies have been applied to this wetsuit to provide maximum buoyancy.

Exolift

Exo-lift is a sandwich-like construction, which combines an exterior neoprene layer treated with a hydrodynamic Nano Ice SCS coating, Aerodome technology, and a third specially treated interior neoprene layer. This combination achieves maximum buoyancy and 0% water absorption. A little boost to help you maintain a hydrodynamic position at all times, even when you're tired.

Aerodome

This new technology, applied to the lower body, gives the swimmer 30% more buoyancy than a conventional wetsuit. The secret is in its construction: hundreds of air pockets located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. The inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining with low water absorption that increases elasticity. The outer layer is treated with an SCS coating which improves hydrodynamics.

Hydrodynamics

Its surface treatments and perfect fit, thanks to the suit's pattern and materials, enhance the hydrodynamic properties of the Apex Float wetsuit.

40PF+

The Power-fit compressive lining is combined with Orca's high-end Yamamoto 40 technology and the Nano Ice SCS surface treatment. The result is a perfect fit in the torso and back area, preventing the flow of water through the wetsuit and improving hydrodynamics. Nano Ice SCS treatment reduces friction in the water by 68% compared to a conventional wetsuit.

39+

Yamamoto 39 neoprene is combined with the high-elasticity Infinity Skin 2 lining and SCS surface coating. The smooth finish acheived with the SCS coating reduces resistance and friction in the water, improving hydrodynamics and increasing speed.

Others

HEP

High Elbow Panel technology, a panel of high-buoyancy material, helps to keep the elbow elevated during the stroke, improving body positioning in the water. After numerous biomechanical studies aimed at improving stability, this panel has been strategically placed to provide support without limiting flexibility.

USC

Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing into the suit, providing more thermal comfort to the swimmer.

Hydrolite

Hydrolite technology makes the wetsuit easier to remove during transitions. Its compressive properties improve the wetsuits's seal in areas where water may be able to enter, such as in the arms, legs and neck, improving the wetsuit's overall thermal comfort.
